Change SSN

The Change SSN - function will change an SSN rather than deleting debts for the incorrect one and re-adding the new corrected SSN.

Frequency: This process can be run at anytime, whenever a debtor with an incorrect Social Security Number needs to be corrected) - put in an incorrect SSN and the SSN to change to.

- only the Administrator can access the Tools function.

1. From the Main Menu click Tools:

2. The Tools menu options:

3. Move the mouse over Database Utilitiesand click this option:

4. Move the mouse over Change SSN and click this option:

5. A dialog screen appears:

• Enter a valid existing SSN to be changed in the Old SSN

• Enter the desired SSN in the New SSN

• A sample debtor for an SSN change:

• Click and the following dialog screen appears for a confirmation:

 

• Click to abort and return

 

• Click to change the old SSN to the new SSN and the following confirmation:

 

• If the New SSN already exists, the following dialog screen appears:

• An acknowledgement screen appears showing the SSN was changed:

6. Click to return to the Main Menu:
